Self portrait Linocut 

My self portrait linocut project is a black print of the selfie I took. During this processes we first picked a picture we liked of our self. We traced out the picture with a sharpie and put any lines we wanted. All black area is the negative and white was the positive witch the white we would be carving out. After tracing the selfie, we shaded in the back and traced the selfie on the block. After tracing it on the block, we used a carving knife to take out all the positive space in our art work. Once all positive space is gone you roll ink on your block and press your outline out on a piece of paper for your final project. After this project I was pretty pleased with my final product. I had never seen anything like this before so I liked not knowing what was going to happen next. The only thing I would have changed in the mouth on my print, it makes my face look pretty scary. overall I thought this was a pretty cool art project with the different textures and shapes we used.
